Yingkou library was formally established on October 21, 1956. The library is located at no. 1, xinlili, liaohe street, with a building area of 800 square meters. In September 1984, it moved to no.6 east bohai street, zhanqian district, with a building area of 3800 square meters. Moved to 10 park road, zhanqian district in May 2007, with a building area of 12,000 square meters. In July 2018, it moved to no. 8, west qinghua street, xicheng district, located in the east of the book building, with a construction area of 21,000 square meters. It will be fully open to the public on April 23, 2019.
    Yingkou library is the library with the largest collection, largest scale and longest history in Yingkou. The new library provides readers with 200000 open shelves books, 1500 reading seats and full coverage of WiFi. It is the center of literature and information co construction and sharing, the education center of lifelong learning for citizens, and the cultural center of readers' activities.
